Selfish

What is so wrong about being self-centered? It's everyone's own lives to live, so why not do all they can for themselves to make it a good one? Putting yourself first does not make you a bad person, it's not like you're going out of your way to make someone else miserable. The only exceptions would be if you're a parent or married. If you have a child you chose to be responsible for another life. And with marriage, it's not putting your spouse before yourself, because then you'd end up resenting them, it's more like putting them equal to yourself.

Maybe my mom will have an epiphany about this one day and stop calling me selfish all the time. It's my life, and it's a common symptom of being a teenager to think of yourself.
